Ambience

Located on the Corner of Stanley and Potts Street, in the heart of Woolloongabba, Pawpaw Café is a lovely place to spend time in. The colour palette inside is a tribute to the menu itself, with lots of fresh green, timber and natural fibres pulled together with the elegance of black and white. There’s plenty of natural light, and it feels altogether like the perfect place to get away from it all.

Brunch menu

If you’re a breakfast lover, then Pawpaw Café has certainly got you covered. They offer a gorgeous selection of breakfast treats running until 3 pm. Their signature breakfast dish is the Potato Hash cakes with poached eggs, turmeric hummus, smashed avocado, beetroot relish and Olympus Halloumi. You can also add ham, bacon or smoked salmon to complete the picture. It is truly a dish worth tasting!

Potato Hash

We also love their smashed avocado, which features tomato, their amazing turmeric hummus and feta cream, using Olympus fetta.

Another favourite is the waffle style corn fritter topped with a poached egg and a spinach and sriracha hollandaise. It is accompanied by your choice of either bacon, smoked salmon or Olympus Halloumi.

In addition to these dishes, there are sautéed mushrooms with truffle oil, Middle Eastern scrambled eggs, a zucchini bowl, German breakfast, and traditional eggs on toast. All potentially made even tastier with the addition of Olympus Halloumi which is offered as an all-day side.

Pawpaw also does kids options, including a mini version of their amazing blueberry pancakes.

What else?

Pawpaw Café has a tasty lunch and dinner menu which embraces the flavours of South-East Asia and pays homage to their history as Green Papaya Restaurant. Think Bao buns, flavourful curries, and a refreshing green papaya salad, to name just a few dishes. Divine! It’s also a fantastic place for cheeky after work drinks. Pawpaw Café’s point of difference is that they not only provide a trendy and warm place for people to dine and drink but also offer a Cooking School so that those partaking can learn how to cook healthy, Thai inspired dishes. A great activity to consider for group bookings or as a fun date activity.
